Cookie Policy

We use the smallest possible cookie footprint to keep the site working. No advertising cookies, no cross-site retargeting, no behavioural profiling.

1. What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It can be used to remember preferences (functional cookies), measure traffic patterns (analytics cookies) or build an advertising profile across multiple sites (tracking cookies). Some cookies expire when you close the tab (session cookies); others persist for months (persistent cookies).

2. Cookies set by opesadvisors.com

The OpesAdvisors site itself sets minimal first-party storage:

Name Type Purpose Duration
opes_country Functional · localStorage Remembers the country you select from the country chooser so the listing pages show brokers available to you on return visits. Until cleared
__cf_bm Security · first-party Cloudflare bot-mitigation. Distinguishes humans from automated crawlers; expires on tab close. 30 minutes

We do not set advertising cookies, social-media cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies on our domain.

3. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless by design. It uses a small JavaScript beacon to record page views, referrer and country — no persistent identifier is stored on your device, and no cookie is set for analytics purposes. Documentation: cloudflare.com/web-analytics.

4. Third-party cookies on broker redirects

When you click an outbound link to a broker, exchange or prop firm, the destination platform may set its own cookies on its own domain. These are not under our control and are not readable by us. The destination uses them to attribute the referral (so we receive credit for the introduction) and to power its own onboarding, account dashboard and marketing.

To inspect or block destination cookies, use your browser's site-data settings or the platform's own cookie controls. Our affiliate-disclosure framework is documented at how we make money.

5. Managing cookies

All modern browsers allow you to view, block or delete cookies through the browser's privacy or site-settings panel. Direct links to the controls:

Blocking the opes_country entry will mean you re-select your country on each visit; the rest of the site continues to work normally. Blocking __cf_bm may trigger a Cloudflare challenge on subsequent requests.

6. Updates to this policy

We update this page when our cookie footprint changes. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current revision. Major changes are flagged for 30 days at the top of the homepage editorial notes.
