74% of retail CFD accounts lose money.

Quick Take: JustMarkets is a forex and CFD broker founded in 2012 (originally as JustForex) in Seychelles, supervised by CySEC (the Cyprus securities regulator, which carries an EU passport) in the EU and the FSCA (South Africa’s financial regulator) in South Africa, with an offshore Seychelles arm covering most other regions. This justmarkets review scores it 7.5 out of 10. The $10 Standard account is one of the lowest entry floors among high-leverage brokers, and it opens on MT4, MT5, or the native JustMarkets app. Account opening takes about 15 minutes including identity checks, and spreads start from 0.3 pips on Standard with zero commission. Around 260 tradable instruments span forex, metals, indices, and cryptocurrencies, so most retail portfolios sit inside the range. The right fit is retail traders in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the UAE, and South Africa who want an aggressive-leverage broker with a rock-bottom deposit floor.

Our Verdict
7.5 /10

JustMarkets suits high-leverage retail traders across Asia, MENA and Africa who value a low barrier to entry. The catch is that protection and research depth swing sharply depending on which of its five entities holds your account.

  • Operating since 2012 with no reported regulator fines
  • Five regulated entities including an EU-supervised arm
  • Trustpilot rating near 3.7 across a large review base

Safety and Regulation

This justmarkets review covers five regulated entities across Cyprus, Seychelles, South Africa, Mauritius, and the British Virgin Islands. Each entity sits under a different regulator and offers a different level of protection.

The entity that holds your account depends on the country you sign up from. This is the section to read carefully before you fund.

The most protective entity is the Cyprus arm under CySEC (the Cyprus regulator that carries an EU passport). EU clients here get MiFID II conduct rules and ICF (the EU Investor Compensation Fund) cover up to €20,000, at the cost of a 1:30 retail leverage cap.

For South African clients, the FSCA (South Africa’s financial regulator) entity is the meaningful one. Most offshore-leaning brokers do not register in South Africa at all.

I verified all five licences against the public registers during testing. The reality for most non-EU clients is the offshore route, and that is where the protection thins out.

The strength of your protection at JustMarkets depends on which entity holds your account, not on the brand. Most non-EU retail clients I checked were onboarded under Just Global Markets in Seychelles, which carries no compensation scheme.

The Seychelles FSA (the Seychelles financial regulator) does not run a compensation fund equivalent to the EU €20,000 ICF. If your account sits under the offshore arm, your recourse is weaker if the broker fails.

Negative balance protection is applied to retail accounts, so you cannot lose more than your balance in a fast market. That is the standard baseline, not a differentiator.

One honest marker: the Trustpilot score sits near 3.7 out of 5, lower than the 4.4-plus that the major onshore brokers carry. About 79 percent of reviews are 5-star, and the negative tail is mostly withdrawal-verification friction.

The five-entity model, licence by licence

JustMarkets founded in 2012 as JustForex and rebranded in September 2022. The corporate structure spreads across five licences, and the one on your client agreement is the one that matters.

The Cyprus entity under CySEC is the gold standard of the group for EU clients. It brings MiFID II conduct rules, segregated client funds, and ICF cover up to €20,000 per client.

The Seychelles entity under the FSA licence SD088 is the offshore flagship. It onboards most non-EU retail clients and offers the 1:3000 leverage that the brand is known for.

The South African entity is registered with the FSCA under an FSP number, which brings local conduct oversight for clients in that market. The Mauritius and BVI entities cover select additional regions.

What each entity actually protects

  • ⚠️ The offshore Seychelles arm has no statutory compensation scheme, so a broker failure leaves limited recourse.
  • 🔹 The EU CySEC arm carries ICF cover up to €20,000 and a 1:30 leverage cap.
  • 🔹 The FSCA arm brings South African conduct rules but no local compensation fund for CFDs.
  • ✅ Negative balance protection applies across retail accounts on every entity.

Segregation of client money is stated across the group, meaning your deposit is held apart from company operating funds. That is the correct baseline, though offshore segregation is harder to audit than an EU or UK equivalent.

How the reputation reads

There are no publicly reported regulator fines against any JustMarkets entity as of 2026. The brand has picked up regional industry awards, including a Best CFD Broker MEA recognition at iFX EXPO.

The Trustpilot picture is mid-tier. A 3.7 average is solid rather than stellar, and the pattern of complaints is consistent: KYC (know-your-customer identity checks) and withdrawal-verification delays rather than lost funds or execution disputes.

Account Types

JustMarkets offers four retail account types, from a $10 floor on Standard and Cent to a $200 entry on Pro and Raw Spread. All four support the swap-free Islamic overlay with no expiry.

If you are funding under $200 or still learning position sizing, the Cent or Standard account is your tier. For active intraday traders, the choice comes down to Pro for the cheapest all-in spread or Raw Spread for raw pricing plus a commission.

  • Standard Cent ($10): first-time traders, positions sized in USD cents to keep risk tiny
  • Standard ($10): retail and swing trading at zero commission, spreads from 0.3 pips
  • Pro ($200): active intraday traders, spreads from 0.1 pips with zero commission
  • Raw Spread ($200): scalpers and EAs (automated trading bots), 0.0 pip raw plus about $3 per side commission

Pro is the tier I would point most active clients toward. Zero commission paired with a sub-0.2 pip average is easier to account for than the per-side commission on Raw Spread, and the deposit floor is identical.

For most traders funding $200 or more, Pro beats Raw Spread on simplicity. You get near-raw spreads without tracking a per-lot commission, and the break-even math is cleaner for anyone trading under ten lots a day.

Which account fits which trader

The Cent account is the one detail that sets JustMarkets apart at the entry level. Balances and positions are denominated in cents, so a $10 deposit behaves like a 1,000-cent account. A beginner can trade real money while keeping each position tiny.

The Standard account is the natural next step. It uses full-dollar sizing, keeps the zero-commission model, and opens on the same $10 floor. Spreads from 0.3 pips on EUR/USD are competitive for a no-commission tier.

Pro tightens the spread floor to 0.1 pips for a $200 deposit while staying commission-free. For an active trader, that is the sweet spot in the JustMarkets line-up.

Raw Spread is the ECN-style option, meaning raw pricing routed toward the market with a separate commission rather than a marked-up spread. You get raw 0.0 pip pricing plus roughly $3 per side. That lands near $6 round-turn, the all-in cost to open and then close one lot.

That commission is higher than the tightest raw-spread peers, so Raw only wins for very high-frequency traders.

The swap-free overlay

Every account tier supports the Islamic swap-free overlay. There is no daily holding charge substituted for the swap, and no 7 to 30 day expiry window that many brokers impose. For MENA and Muslim clients holding positions overnight, that is a genuine edge.

Fees and Costs

The cost story in this justmarkets review is simple on the Standard account: spreads from 0.3 pips on EUR/USD with zero commission. In our recent testing the Standard EUR/USD spread averaged roughly 0.5 to 0.9 pips through the London session.

That works out to about $5 to $9 round-turn (the all-in cost to open and then close one standard lot) on Standard. That is competitive for a no-commission tier at a $10 deposit floor. The Raw Spread account trades tighter but adds a commission.

Below is the schedule across the instruments most retail clients actually trade. Forex and metals are the core of a JustMarkets account, with indices and crypto CFDs as secondary asset classes.

Forex and metals

AssetStandard spread (avg)Raw Spread (avg)Commission (Raw)SwapInactivity

US500 (S&P 500 CFD)0.6 points0.5 points$0financing$0
BTC/USD CFD0.45%0.40%$0per-instrument$0

Two notes on the table. The tight Raw Spread pricing runs through the offshore entity, so EU clients on the CySEC arm see the 1:30 leverage cap and slightly different conditions.

The swap-free Islamic overlay is available without expiry, so overnight positions on forex and metals carry no financing charge for eligible clients.

In my testing the Standard account was the surprise. A 0.3 pip floor with zero commission is aggressive for a broker whose entry deposit is $10. For low-volume traders that is cheaper to run than a raw account once you add back the per-side commission.

A round-turn on EUR/USD at Standard costs roughly $7 effective at our sampled spread. The same trade on Raw Spread lands near $6 once you add the commission to the raw spread, so Raw only pulls ahead at high volume.

For a tighter raw spread with a lower commission, active scalpers often compare FP Markets Raw. For a low-cost no-commission alternative at a similar deposit floor, Exness Standard is the closest peer we have tested.

Cost per lot across four trader profiles

The headline for JustMarkets is the 0.3 pip Standard floor and the zero-commission model. Projected against how each retail profile trades, the cost picture changes with volume.

Here is the projection using the spread data from the table above, on a 1 standard lot basis on EUR/USD.

  • Scalper (10 lots/day): Raw Spread wins once volume climbs, since the raw spread offsets the per-side commission
  • Day trader (4 lots/day): Pro is the cleanest, near-raw spread with no commission to account for
  • Swing trader (1 lot/day): Standard is the simplest, the wider spread is absorbed by low volume
  • Beginner (Cent account): Standard Cent keeps each position tiny while you learn position sizing

The pattern is consistent. At low volume the zero-commission Standard or Pro account is cheaper to run because you never touch a per-side commission. At high volume the Raw Spread account pulls ahead once the raw spread saving beats the commission drag.

Where the swap matters

On non-Islamic accounts, overnight positions carry a swap, the financing charge for holding a leveraged position past the daily rollover. Long and short swaps differ by the interest-rate spread of the pair.

The swap-free Islamic overlay removes that charge entirely for eligible clients, with no daily fee substituted in its place. For a MENA client running multi-day forex or gold positions, that is a real cost saving over a broker that caps swap-free at 30 days.

Hidden costs the headline spread skips

A few line items the headline pricing does not cover:

  • Raw Spread commission: about $3 per side, near $6 round-turn per standard lot, added on top of the raw spread
  • Event widening: spreads on EUR/USD and gold widen during high-impact releases such as Non-Farm Payrolls, the standard pattern at any broker
  • Crypto CFD pricing: the 0.4 to 0.45% spread on BTC/USD is wider than a dedicated exchange, so JustMarkets is not the venue for crypto-led traders
  • Currency conversion: funding in a non-account currency embeds a small conversion charge in the rate, avoided where local rails settle natively

For a low-volume trader, the Standard account is the cheapest way to run JustMarkets. For a high-frequency scalper, Raw Spread wins once the raw pricing offsets the commission. Between those, Pro is the balanced default.

Trading Platforms

JustMarkets supports MT4, MT5, a browser-based web terminal, and a native JustMarkets mobile app on iOS and Android. The stack covers scalpers running EAs, swing traders on a single screen, and clients who only ever open the phone.

The gap is at the top end. There is no TradingView integration and no cTrader, so traders who want TradingView charts or the cTrader depth-of-market book will feel the absence.

  • MT5: preferred by active traders for multi-asset support, depth-of-market on majors, no EA restrictions
  • MT4: legacy support for existing EAs and older indicator libraries, available on all account tiers
  • Web terminal: browser-based, removes the need to install MetaTrader on a managed desktop
  • JustMarkets app (iOS + Android): native, own-branded, with in-app funding and biometric login, faster than MT4 mobile for account tasks

The native app surprised me. For account management, funding and quick position checks it is noticeably better than the stock MT4 mobile app. For serious charting you still drop back to MT5 on desktop, since there is no TradingView here.

For active traders the choice usually lands on MT5 for depth-of-market and the native EA host. For casual monitoring and funding, the JustMarkets app is the faster workflow.

MT5 versus MT4 at JustMarkets

MT5 is the platform I would default to for any active trader on JustMarkets. It carries more order types, depth-of-market data on the majors, and a stronger strategy tester than MT4.

MT4 remains available for traders with existing EAs or indicator libraries built on the older platform. Both run on desktop, web, and mobile, and both accept scalping and automated strategies without a dealing-desk block.

The execution model is market execution rather than instant execution on the raw account, so orders fill at the available price. In our testing there were no requotes on the Raw Spread account during normal conditions.

The native app in practice

The own-branded JustMarkets app is the genuine platform highlight. It handles deposits, withdrawals, KYC uploads, and position monitoring in one place, with biometric login.

  • 🔹 Funding and withdrawal run inside the app, no separate portal login needed.
  • 🔹 Biometric login speeds up daily access.
  • ✅ Push price alerts and basic charting cover the account-management workflow.
  • ⚠️ For advanced multi-indicator charting you still need MT5, the app charting is basic.

The app has been promoted as one of the faster-growing trading apps in South Africa, which lines up with the broker’s strength in that market. It is a management tool first and a charting tool second.

The platform gaps to weigh

No TradingView and no cTrader is the honest limitation. Traders who live in TradingView charts, or who want the cTrader order book and its native ECN routing, will not find them here.

For a broker with cTrader and TradingView on tighter raw pricing, active scalpers often look at Pepperstone as a comparison, though that broker sits at a higher entry tier and different regulatory footprint.

Execution and EAs in practice

On the raw account the model is market execution, so orders fill at the best available price rather than a fixed dealer quote. In our sample there were no requotes during normal liquidity.

Automated strategies run without a dealing-desk block. You can host an expert advisor on MT4 or MT5, and scalping is permitted rather than penalised, which is not universal at high-leverage brokers.

For EA traders who need uptime, a VPS keeps the platform running when your machine is off. JustMarkets does not force a proprietary VPS, so you can use any MetaTrader-compatible host.

  • Market execution: orders fill at the available price, no requotes in our test
  • EA support: expert advisors run on MT4 and MT5 with no dealing-desk block
  • Scalping allowed: short-hold strategies are permitted across account types
  • VPS friendly: any MetaTrader-compatible VPS works for 24/5 automation

The web terminal and multi-device sync

The web terminal is the no-install option. It runs MetaTrader in the browser, which helps on a managed work machine where you cannot install software.

Your account state syncs across devices. A position opened on desktop MT5 shows up in the app and the web terminal, so you can start a trade at a desk and manage it on the phone.

The trade-off across all four surfaces is the same: solid MetaTrader plumbing, but no TradingView and no cTrader. If your workflow depends on either, JustMarkets will feel limited despite the tight raw spreads.

Deposits and Withdrawals

JustMarkets runs roughly 16 funding methods with no broker-side fee on deposits or withdrawals. In our recent testing, Skrill and card withdrawals settled within the hour, and crypto cleared in about two hours network confirmation time included.

The methods split into cards, bank wire, e-wallets, cryptocurrency, and local regional rails. The local options are the reason funding is fast in India, Southeast Asia, and Africa.

MethodMin depositFeeDeposit timingWithdrawal timing
Visa / Mastercard$10$0 broker-sideInstantWithin 24 hours
E-wallets (Skrill, Neteller)$10$0 broker-sideInstantWithin the hour typical
Cryptocurrency (USDT, BTC, ETH)$10$0 broker-side~2 hours~2 hours incl. confirmation
Local bank / regional railsVaries$0 broker-sideOften instantSame business day
Bank wire (international)Varies$0 broker-side1 business dayUp to a few business days

The withdrawal experience was clean once KYC was done. Skrill requests I timed settled inside the hour with no broker fee. The friction, when it appears, is verification, not payout speed, so complete your document checks before your first withdrawal.

The one recurring friction is verification. A first withdrawal can pause if KYC documents need a refresh.

That is the most common complaint in the broker’s public reviews. Once documents are cleared, payouts run smoothly.

No broker-side fee on any method is a genuine plus. Some payment processors add their own charge, but JustMarkets does not stack a withdrawal fee on top, which is not universal at this deposit tier.

Toggle full Deposits & Withdrawals breakdown

Which rail to use by region

The right funding method depends on where you trade from. The local rails are the fast path in the broker’s core markets.

  • India: local bank transfer and UPI-style rails settle fast, often instant on deposit
  • Southeast Asia: local bank options in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam settle same business day
  • MENA: cards and Skrill are the quick route, with withdrawals inside the hour in our sample
  • South Africa: local card deposit worked first try, with same business-day withdrawal
  • Anywhere: USDT and other crypto rails clear in about two hours including confirmation

E-wallets and crypto are the fastest withdrawal rails in practice. Bank wire is the slowest, since international transfers pass through correspondent banks and can take a few business days to land.

The KYC step, and how to avoid a delay

JustMarkets applies standard KYC and AML checks. You submit proof of identity and proof of address at onboarding, and the broker may re-verify before a large or first withdrawal.

The practical advice from our testing and the public review pattern is simple. Complete and refresh your documents before you request a withdrawal, so a document re-check does not pause your payout.

  • ✅ Upload a clear proof of identity and address at signup.
  • 🔹 Keep documents current, since expired ID triggers a re-check.
  • ⚠️ Larger balances route through a compliance review that can add a business day.

Currency conversion is the last cost to watch. Funding in a currency other than your account currency embeds a small conversion charge in the rate. The local rails avoid it by settling natively.

Minimums, limits, and the withdrawal rule

The deposit floor tracks the account: $10 opens Standard and Cent. Withdrawal minimums are low across the e-wallet and card rails, so you are not forced to leave a large balance parked.

One rule to know is the return-to-source principle. Most brokers, JustMarkets included, return withdrawals to the method you deposited with, up to the deposited amount. Profit above that is paid to a nominated rail.

That rule is an anti-money-laundering control, not a fee. It means your card deposit is refunded to the card first, then any profit routes to your bank or e-wallet.

Crypto rails and network choice

The crypto option is the fast, low-friction path for many non-EU clients. USDT is the common rail, and the network you pick drives the confirmation time and the third-party fee.

  • USDT on TRC-20 (the Tron network): the cheapest and fastest option for most withdrawals
  • USDT on ERC-20 (the Ethereum network): higher network fees during congestion, slower confirmation
  • BTC and ETH: supported, with confirmation time tied to network load
  • No broker fee: JustMarkets adds nothing, but the blockchain network fee applies

Pick the network deliberately. On a small withdrawal, an expensive network fee can eat a meaningful slice of the amount, so TRC-20 is usually the sensible default.

What can go wrong, and how to avoid it

The most common withdrawal problem is not the broker holding funds. It is an incomplete KYC file or a mismatch between the deposit and withdrawal method.

Keep your identity and address documents current, withdraw to the method you funded with, and complete verification before your first payout request. Do that and the withdrawal experience is fast and fee-free in practice.

Processing windows to expect

E-wallet and crypto rails process around the clock, so a weekend withdrawal on Skrill or USDT can still clear the same day. Card and bank rails follow banking hours.

A bank wire requested on a Friday evening will usually start moving on the next business day. That is the payment network’s timing, not a broker delay, so plan large bank withdrawals around the working week.

For day-to-day cash flow, the e-wallet and crypto options are the ones to lean on. They keep your funds liquid without waiting on a banking window.

Trading Instruments

JustMarkets covers the major asset classes for retail CFD traders across roughly 260 instruments. The selection leads with forex and metals, then indices, a solid stock CFD layer, and a thin crypto CFD set.

  • Forex: around 60 pairs across majors, minors and exotics with tight Standard and Raw pricing on EUR/USD
  • Metals: gold (XAU/USD), silver (XAG/USD) and palladium with swap-free Islamic pricing available
  • Energies and commodities: WTI and Brent crude plus a small commodity set
  • Indices: around 11 cash CFDs covering the S&P 500, NASDAQ 100, DAX and other majors
  • Stock CFDs: around 170 US and European single-name equities
  • Crypto CFDs: around 11 pairs including BTC, ETH and major altcoins (wider spreads than exchanges)

The stock CFD layer at around 170 tickers is the pleasant surprise, deeper than many offshore forex brokers offer. What is missing is ETFs, options, and futures, so JustMarkets is a CFD-and-forex house rather than a full multi-asset broker.

Asset classInstrument countHeadline pricingBest fit

Crypto CFDs~11 pairsBTC/USD ~0.45%Hedge instrument only

For a forex-first broker the 170-name stock CFD layer is broader than I expected. The catalogue works for forex, metals and indices traders. If you want ETFs, options or futures, this is not the broker for you.

For traders focused on forex, metals, and indices, the 260-instrument count is not a constraint. For crypto-led traders, dedicated exchanges price BTC and ETH far tighter than the CFD spread here, so Binance or a native exchange is the better venue.

Customer Support

JustMarkets runs 24/7 support across live chat, email, phone, and messaging apps. In our testing, live chat opened in under a minute on every contact, in English.

The channel spread is wide for a broker at this tier. Live chat is the primary route, email handles document work, and WhatsApp, Telegram, and Messenger add regional reach.

ChannelHoursAvg response
Live chat24/7Under 1 minute across recent tests
Email (general support)24/7 ticketingAround 6 hours typical
PhoneRegional hoursImmediate during local hours
WhatsApp / Telegram / Messenger24/7 regionalMinutes, community-style

Language coverage runs to roughly seven languages, including English, Indonesian, Malay, Spanish, Vietnamese, Portuguese, and Arabic. That maps neatly onto the broker’s core markets in Southeast Asia, MENA, and Latin America.

Live chat was the strong point. Under a minute to a human on every contact I made, and the agent could pull my account context without a three-step handover. Email is slower at around six hours, so use chat for anything time-sensitive.

Phone support is the weaker channel. It is available but regionally limited, so most clients will default to live chat. Email is the right route for document submission and complex KYC, at a slower pace.

Toggle full Support breakdown

What live chat handles well

Across our test contacts, live chat resolved routine account questions on the first interaction. These are the query types that closed inside the chat session.

  • Account and login: password resets and platform login issues resolved on first chat
  • Deposit and withdrawal status: the agent pulls the transaction reference and confirms the rail
  • KYC document status: chat confirms what is missing and re-triggers the review
  • Swap-free application: the Islamic overlay was applied after a single chat request in our test
  • Spread and swap queries: answered from the live pricing page

The questions that escalate to a ticket are the usual ones: formal complaints, disputed closed positions, and complex compliance cases. Those run a multi-day cycle on email rather than a same-chat resolution.

Language depth and gaps

Arabic and Vietnamese support at this depth is uncommon for a broker at this size. Both are native desks rather than a third-party translation layer, which shows in the positive review sentiment from the UAE and Vietnam.

The gaps are the major EU languages. Native German, French, and Italian desks are not part of the standard coverage, so EU clients route through English chat. That is a reasonable trade-off given the broker’s non-EU focus.

Common reasons clients reach out

Across public reviews and our own contact logs, the reasons clients open a ticket follow a predictable order.

  • 🔹 Withdrawal status is the most common, usually resolved on first chat once the rail is confirmed.
  • 🔹 KYC document refresh is next, resolved by re-upload within a business-day cycle.
  • 🔹 Platform and login help appears regularly, fixed on first chat.
  • ⚠️ Account closure and large-balance withdrawals route through compliance and run several business days.

The pattern is consistent across the broker’s markets. Routine operational questions resolve fast on chat, while anything touching compliance runs the slower email cycle.

How escalation actually works

A first-line chat agent handles account, funding, and platform questions. Anything that needs an operations or compliance decision moves to a ticket.

The ticket path is where the timing stretches. A KYC or payment escalation typically runs a business-day cycle, and a formal complaint can take several days to a written resolution.

That two-tier model is standard for the sector. The honest note is that JustMarkets resolves the routine cases quickly and the complex ones at an ordinary pace, not a fast one.

Response times by channel in detail

The channels are not equal on speed. Live chat is the fast lane, email is the slow lane, and the messaging apps sit in between for informal questions.

  • Live chat: under a minute to a human in our tests, English confirmed
  • Email: around six hours for a first reply on general queries
  • WhatsApp and Telegram: minutes for informal questions, not formal support
  • Phone: immediate during regional hours, but coverage is limited

For anything time-sensitive, chat is the channel. For document submission or a dispute that needs a paper trail, email is the correct route despite the slower pace.

What to expect as a new client

The first support contact for most clients is KYC. Expect to submit proof of identity and address, and expect a possible re-check before a first withdrawal.

Handle that verification early and the rest of the support experience is smooth. The desk is responsive on chat, multilingual across its core markets, and consistent in the pattern of what resolves fast and what does not.

Research and Education

Research and education is the weakest part of the JustMarkets offering. The broker provides the basics, but nothing that would pull an analysis-driven trader in on its own.

You get an economic calendar, daily market news and analytics, and a set of introductory learning materials. What you do not get is the depth of a research-led broker or TradingView-grade charting.

  • Economic calendar: upcoming high-impact releases with forecast and prior values
  • Market news: daily updates and short analytics pieces on major pairs and indices
  • Learning materials: beginner articles covering orders, leverage and risk basics
  • Demo account: full-feature demo to practise on MT4 or MT5 before funding

The honest read is that research is a check-the-box feature here, not a reason to choose the broker. Traders who lean on daily analyst notes, trade ideas, or advanced charting will look elsewhere.

Research is where JustMarkets lands mid-table at best. The economic calendar and news are fine for a quick check, but there is no proprietary analysis desk and no TradingView. If you want research-led trading, this is not the broker that gets you there.

For beginners the learning materials cover the essentials, but they are shallow compared with a NerdWallet-standard education hub. The demo account is the more useful learning tool, since it lets you practise on the real platform.

Toggle full Research & Education breakdown

What the research desk actually carries

The daily market news is serviceable. It covers the major forex pairs, gold, and the headline indices, with short context around the day’s high-impact events.

The economic calendar is the more practical tool. It flags the releases that move spreads and volatility, such as central-bank decisions, inflation prints, and Non-Farm Payrolls.

What is absent is a proprietary analysis layer, trade-idea feeds, or sentiment tooling. There is also no TradingView integration, so charting stays inside MetaTrader.

Education for a first-time trader

The education library is beginner-oriented and covers the fundamentals of order types, leverage, margin, and risk. It is enough to get a first-time trader through the basics.

  • Order types: market, limit and stop orders explained with examples
  • Leverage and margin: how 1:3000 leverage affects margin and risk on a small account
  • Risk basics: position sizing and stop-loss placement for a beginner
  • Platform guides: how to set up MT4 or MT5 and place a first trade

The gap is depth. There are no structured courses, no webinars at scale, and no certification path. Research-led brokers use those to build trust with new traders.

Pair the JustMarkets demo with a third-party education source if you are starting out. The demo runs the real MT4 and MT5 pricing, so your practice reflects live spreads and swap conditions.

How the analysis compares to research-led peers

The daily news at JustMarkets is a summary feed, not an analyst desk. It tells you what moved and flags the day’s high-impact events, but it does not issue trade ideas or price targets.

A research-led broker publishes structured technical and fundamental notes each session, often with entry, stop, and target levels. JustMarkets does not compete at that level, and it does not pretend to.

For a trader who leans on external analysis, that gap is easy to fill. Most active traders already run TradingView or a third-party calendar alongside their broker, so the missing in-house research matters less than it first appears.

  • Economic calendar: useful for timing volatility around central-bank and inflation releases
  • Daily news: a quick market read, not a signal service
  • Demo account: full-feature practice environment, real MT4 and MT5 pricing
  • What is missing: proprietary analysis, structured courses, live webinars, TradingView

The practical study path on JustMarkets

For a beginner, the sensible route is to open a demo, run the introductory articles on leverage and margin, then practise position sizing before funding a live Cent account.

The Cent account then acts as a low-stakes bridge from demo to live. You trade real money at cent scale, which keeps the psychology honest while the loss potential stays tiny.

That progression, demo to Cent to Standard, is the education framework JustMarkets does well by structure rather than by content. The tooling is thin, but the low deposit floor makes the learning curve cheap to climb.

Where the research gap actually bites

The gap matters most for a trader who wants their broker to hand them a view. If you expect morning notes with levels on EUR/USD or gold, you will not get them here.

It matters least for a trader who already runs their own process. A charting subscription and a standalone economic calendar cover the gap for a few dollars a month.

The verdict on research is therefore conditional. As a standalone reason to choose JustMarkets, it fails. As a line item among a low deposit, high leverage, and swap-free accounts, it is a tolerable weakness rather than a dealbreaker.

Mobile App

The native JustMarkets app is one of the genuine highlights of the broker. It is an own-branded iOS and Android app, not just a rebadged MetaTrader shell, and it handles the full account workflow.

You can fund, withdraw, complete KYC, monitor positions, and log in with biometrics inside one app. For account management, it is faster than the stock MT4 or MT5 mobile apps.

  • In-app funding: deposits and withdrawals run inside the app, no separate portal login
  • Biometric login: fingerprint and face login for fast daily access
  • Position monitoring: open positions, balance and margin at a glance
  • Price alerts: push notifications on your watched instruments

I would rate the app the second-best thing about JustMarkets after the low deposit floor. For a phone-first trader in Jakarta or Lagos who funds, checks and closes on mobile, it is a smoother workflow than the MetaTrader mobile apps.

The app has been promoted as one of the faster-growing trading apps in South Africa, which fits the broker’s strength in that market. Where it falls short is serious charting, which still belongs on MT5 desktop.

The account-management workflow

The app is built around the client rather than the chart. Funding, withdrawal, KYC, and account switching are the tasks it handles best, and it does them faster than a MetaTrader mobile session.

Biometric login is the small feature that makes daily use easy. You open the app, authenticate with a fingerprint, and see balance, margin, and open positions immediately.

  • Deposit and withdraw: full funding flow inside the app with no broker fee
  • KYC uploads: submit and track verification documents from the phone
  • Account switch: move between Cent, Standard and Pro accounts in one tap
  • Watchlist alerts: push price notifications on saved instruments

Where you still need the desktop

For active charting, multi-indicator setups, and running EAs, MetaTrader on desktop is still the tool. The app charting covers a quick look, not a full technical workflow.

  • ✅ Funding, account tasks and quick trades work well on the app.
  • 🔹 Watchlist and alerts cover casual monitoring.
  • ⚠️ Advanced charting and automated strategies need MT5 on desktop, since the app charting is basic and there is no TradingView.

The trade execution inside the app is fine for opening and closing positions at market. It is a management-first app that also trades, rather than a charting-first platform.

Onboarding and security on the app

Account opening runs inside the app end to end. You register, submit KYC documents from the camera roll, and fund without ever touching a desktop.

Security sits on biometric login plus the broker’s server-side controls. Face and fingerprint unlock replace a typed password on daily open, which cuts the friction of checking positions on the move.

For a phone-first trader in an emerging market, that self-contained flow is the point. There is no need for a laptop to open, verify, and fund an account.

Notifications and daily workflow

Push notifications cover price alerts on your watchlist and status updates on deposits and withdrawals. You set an alert on a level, and the app pings you when price reaches it.

  • Price alerts: push notifications on watchlist instruments at levels you set
  • Funding status: alerts when a deposit or withdrawal changes state
  • Account health: margin and equity visible at a glance to avoid a margin call (when the broker asks you to add funds or closes positions as losses eat into your balance)
  • Quick trade: open and close positions at market in two taps

The daily loop is simple. Open with a fingerprint, scan the watchlist, check margin, and act on any alert. For active charting or an EA, you still switch to MT5 on desktop.

App versus MetaTrader mobile

The stock MT4 and MT5 mobile apps are stronger for charting and trade management on the go. They carry the full MetaTrader indicator set and one-tap trading from the chart.

Where the JustMarkets app wins is everything around the trade: funding, withdrawal, KYC, and account switching in one place. Most clients end up running both, the native app for account tasks and MetaTrader mobile for charts.

Availability and updates

The app is on both the App Store and Google Play, and it is updated on a regular cadence rather than left to stagnate. That active maintenance is part of why it feels smoother than a stock MetaTrader shell.

For markets where a laptop is the exception rather than the rule, a well-maintained native app is a real advantage. It lowers the barrier to opening and running a live account to a single device.

The one caveat is charting depth. Treat the app as the account cockpit and MT5 as the trading desk, and the split works well for a mobile-first retail trader.

Is JustMarkets Safe?

JustMarkets is reasonably safe for retail clients, with the important caveat that safety depends on which entity holds your account. The EU CySEC arm and the South African FSCA arm carry real conduct oversight. Most non-EU clients trade under the offshore Seychelles entity, which has weaker protection.

The broker has operated since 2012 with no publicly reported regulator fines against any entity. Negative balance protection applies across retail accounts, and client funds are stated as segregated.

  • Regulated group: five entities including a CySEC EU arm and an FSCA South African arm
  • Negative balance protection: applied across retail accounts on every entity
  • Track record: operating since 2012 with no public regulator fines
  • The caveat: the offshore Seychelles entity holds most non-EU accounts and has no compensation scheme

For MENA, Asian, and African retail traders who accept the offshore trade-off in exchange for high leverage and a low deposit, JustMarkets is a credible choice. For traders who need an onshore FCA or ASIC licence and a compensation scheme, an onshore-regulated peer is the safer route.

Who Is JustMarkets Best For?

This justmarkets review keeps landing in the same place. JustMarkets is the right primary broker for high-leverage retail traders in Asia, MENA, and Africa who want a low deposit floor and swap-free accounts, and who accept an offshore entity model.

JustMarkets is the right fit if you match this profile:

  • Retail trader in India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Kenya or South Africa
  • Want a $10 entry deposit and cent-sized position control while you learn
  • Trade primarily forex majors, gold and indices, with stock CFDs as a secondary asset
  • Need an Islamic swap-free account with no expiry window
  • Want leverage up to 1:3000 on a small balance
  • Comfortable with an entity-by-entity model where your account jurisdiction matters more than the brand

Exclusions where JustMarkets will not work:

  • US, UK, Canadian, Australian or Japanese residents: the broker does not accept clients from these jurisdictions
  • Research-led traders who need daily analyst notes, trade ideas or TradingView charts
  • Traders who need an onshore FCA or ASIC licence and a compensation scheme
  • Crypto-led traders who want native exchange spreads rather than CFD pricing

If a friend in Mumbai or Ho Chi Minh City asked me for a broker that opens with $10, offers high leverage and applies swap-free with no expiry, this is on the shortlist. Outside that profile the offshore model and thin research change the maths.

For crypto-led traders, dedicated exchanges like Bybit price BTC and ETH far tighter than a CFD spread. For traders who want deeper research and multi-asset breadth, AvaTrade covers more instrument classes at a similar retail focus.

FAQ

Is JustMarkets regulated?

Yes. JustMarkets operates through five regulated entities: CySEC Cyprus (licence 401/21, with ICF cover up to €20,000), FSA Seychelles (SD088, the offshore flagship), FSCA South Africa (FSP 51114), FSC Mauritius (GB22200881) and BVI FSC (SIBA/L/24/1177). The CySEC and FSCA licences carry more regulatory substance than the three offshore entities. Most non-EU retail clients are onboarded under the offshore Seychelles entity, which has no compensation scheme, so confirm which entity holds your account before you fund.

What is the JustMarkets minimum deposit?

$10 on the Standard and Standard Cent accounts, one of the lowest entry points among high-leverage forex brokers. The Pro and Raw Spread accounts require a $200 deposit. Standard and Pro run zero commission, with spreads from 0.3 pips on Standard and from 0.1 pips on Pro. Raw Spread uses raw 0.0 pip pricing plus roughly $3 per side commission, near $6 round-turn per standard lot.

How fast are JustMarkets withdrawals?

E-wallet withdrawals through Skrill and Neteller settled within the hour in our recent testing, and card withdrawals cleared within 24 hours. Crypto withdrawals in USDT and other coins cleared in around two hours network confirmation time included. Bank wire is slower, at up to a few business days. There is no broker-side withdrawal fee on any method. The payment processor may add its own charge, and a first withdrawal can pause for KYC verification.

Does JustMarkets accept US or UK clients?

No. JustMarkets does not accept residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or Japan on any of its five entities. US retail forex traders have regulated alternatives under NFA and CFTC oversight, such as OANDA and Forex.com. UK traders should use an FCA-regulated broker instead. EU clients trade through the CySEC Cyprus entity with a 1:30 leverage cap.

Does JustMarkets offer Islamic swap-free accounts?

Yes. The swap-free Islamic overlay is available across all four account types: Standard Cent, Standard, Pro and Raw Spread. There is no daily holding fee substituted for the swap, and no 7 to 30 day expiry window that many brokers impose. For MENA and Muslim clients holding forex or gold positions overnight, this removes the financing charge entirely. Application is handled through support or the client area.

What leverage does JustMarkets offer?

Up to 1:3000 on the offshore Seychelles entity, which is among the highest retail leverage available anywhere. EU clients on the CySEC Cyprus entity are capped at 1:30 for retail accounts under ESMA rules (ESMA is the EU securities regulator that sets leverage limits across the bloc). High leverage magnifies both gains and losses, so a small margin move can wipe a thinly funded account. The published risk warning notes that around 69 percent of retail CFD accounts lose money.

What platforms does JustMarkets support?

MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, a browser-based web terminal, and a native JustMarkets mobile app on iOS and Android. MT5 is the right choice for active traders thanks to depth-of-market data and more order types. The native app is the highlight for account management, with in-app funding, KYC and biometric login. There is no TradingView integration and no cTrader, so traders who rely on those platforms will feel the gap.

Skrill withdrawal processed in about 45 minutes from request to funds in my wallet. The process was smooth after KYC was complete. No broker fee taken.

Running MT5 and the JustMarkets app side by side from Manama. Raw Spread fills during the London session near 0.0 on EUR/USD before commission, which tracks what the website says. Swap-free on the Standard account applied automatically after I asked in chat and there is no expiry on it. For holding gold overnight that is the real reason I chose this broker over a few others I tested. The app is fast for account tasks but charting stays on MT5 desktop.

Been on a Pro account from Singapore for about six months. The 0.1 pip spread floor with no commission is the reason I picked JustMarkets over a few alternatives. MT5 execution felt clean during London hours in my tests. The Seychelles entity applies here so there is no compensation fund, but the track record since 2012 is clean.

Live chat in English opened in under a minute from Mumbai across two contacts. The swap-free overlay was applied on my Standard account after a single chat request. Islamic account with no expiry window was the specific reason I opened here over competitors. The support desk knew the answer without a handover.

Standard account from Lyon, spreads averaged around 0.6 pips on EUR/USD through the morning London session in my testing. Zero commission on Standard means the cost is simple to calculate. Pro is available at a 0.1 pip floor for 200 dollars but Standard works well for my volume.

From Buenos Aires on a Standard account trading the major pairs. Live chat opened immediately in English with a person rather than a bot within the minute. Swap-free option was explained clearly and applied within an hour of my first request. Card deposit settled the same day with no broker fee. The demo runs real MT5 pricing which made it useful for practising position sizing before I went live.

  1. Regulator enforcement history

JustMarkets runs a five-entity model. The entity that holds your account decides how much protection sits behind your balance. Read this section before you fund.

    • JustMarkets Ltd: CySEC licence 401/21, Cyprus. EU retail clients trade here under MiFID II, with ICF (the EU Investor Compensation Fund) cover up to €20,000 and a 1:30 retail leverage cap.
    • Just Global Markets Ltd: Seychelles FSA licence SD088. This is the offshore flagship entity that onboards most non-EU retail clients. No statutory compensation scheme applies here.
    • Just Global Markets (PTY) Ltd: FSCA South Africa, FSP 51114. Local conduct oversight for South African clients.
    • Just Global Markets (MU) Ltd: FSC Mauritius, investment dealer GB22200881.
    • Just Global Markets (VG) Ltd: BVI FSC, SIBA/L/24/1177.

The brand founded in 2012 as JustForex and rebranded to JustMarkets in September 2022. There are no publicly reported regulator fines against any entity as of 2026. Confirm the entity on your client agreement before depositing. The protection level depends on the licence, not the marketing page.

  2. Tax treatment by country

This is a summary, not tax advice. Confirm your own position with a local tax professional before trading.

    • European Union (CySEC entity): CFD gains are usually taxed as capital gains or general income depending on your member state. Rates and allowances vary by country.
    • GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman): most residents have no personal income tax on trading profits. Tax rules in the region can change with local reform.
    • India: forex and CFD trading through offshore brokers sits in a grey area under FEMA rules. Treat any profit as taxable income and keep records.
    • South Africa: trading profit is generally taxable. SARS treats frequent CFD trading as revenue rather than capital in most cases.

  4. Risk warnings full text

69% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. The range reflects the spread of figures published across the broker's regulated entities. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

Leverage warning. The broker publishes a headline 1:3000 maximum leverage figure on its offshore entity. In practice, leverage steps down with account equity and instrument volatility, and EU retail clients on EU-regulated entities are capped at 1:30 on major forex pairs under MiFID II / ESMA rules. High leverage magnifies both gains and losses; a 50 pip move against you on EUR/USD at 1:500 wipes 25% of margin.

Negative balance protection. Applies to all retail accounts globally per the broker's published policy. You cannot lose more than your deposited capital. Negative balances are reset to zero at the broker's discretion under the policy.

Compensation scheme depends on entity. EU clients are covered by the Investor Compensation Fund up to €20,000. UK retail clients are covered by FSCS up to £85,000. Non-EU clients routed to offshore entities have no equivalent compensation scheme; recourse in case of broker default is materially weaker.

Past performance is not indicative of future results. Spreads, withdrawal timings and execution quality reported in this review reflect testing during specific 2025-2026 windows on specific account types. Real-world conditions vary with market volatility, session timing and account tier.

  5. Test results for JustMarkets

Specific outcomes from hands-on evaluation of JustMarkets retail accounts during recent testing cycles. For the general protocol we apply across our sample, see our testing methodology.

    • Spreads: the Standard account averaged around 0.5 to 0.9 pips on EUR/USD across the London session in our sample. The Raw Spread account held near 0.0 to 0.2 pips raw before commission.
    • Withdrawals: Skrill and card withdrawals settled within the hour on the requests we timed. Crypto withdrawals cleared in roughly two hours network confirmation time included.
    • Support: live chat opened in under a minute on every contact we made, in English.
    • Regulators: the five licences were cross-checked against public registers during testing.

Not tested on JustMarkets: long-run bank-wire withdrawal cycles above five figures, and the non-English support desks.
