10 forex brokers that accept Brazilian clients, tested with live capital. Real spreads, real Pix withdrawals, every offshore licence checked on the home regulator's register.
69+ forex brokers tested by Laura West · real funded accounts
The best forex brokers in Brazil are all offshore. The CVM licenses no retail forex broker, so licence quality is your real safety test. Vantage is my overall pick: raw ECN pricing near 6 dollars per round-turn lot, built-in copy trading, and Pix funding in reais. XM opens at 5 dollars for beginners with Portuguese education. Fusion Markets runs the cheapest all-in cost, and AvaTrade carries a genuine Central Bank of Ireland book for anyone who needs the strongest licence. I verified every broker on its home regulator's register in 2026.

Every broker on this list is tested on a funded live account. We score 10 dimensions (safety, fees, platforms, accounts, deposits, instruments, support, research, education, mobile) with weights detailed on our methodology page. No broker pays to be ranked higher. Some links earn us a commission, how we make money.
Brazil regulates its securities and derivatives markets through the CVM (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários), with the Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) overseeing foreign exchange. The CVM does not license retail OTC forex or CFD brokers, and it has issued stop orders against offshore brokers soliciting Brazilians. Brazilian traders therefore use offshore-regulated brokers in a grey zone, with no local compensation scheme; recourse runs through the broker foreign regulator.
A global “best forex broker” list is the wrong tool if you live in Brazil. The broker that tops a worldwide ranking might not accept a Brazilian client, and the one that does will put you on an offshore book that behaves very differently from its regulated European arm.
Brazil is the largest retail-trading audience in Latin America. It is also one of the more misunderstood markets, because the honest starting point is uncomfortable: the CVM (Comissao de Valores Mobiliarios) licenses no retail forex or CFD broker at all.
So the question that matters is not “which broker is cheapest?” It is “which broker legally accepts me, holds a licence I can actually trust, funds by Pix in reais, and speaks Portuguese?” This page answers that.
That distinction is not academic. Every broker a Brazilian trader can use is regulated abroad, and the gap between a genuine tier-one licence and a shell offshore entity is the whole game when there is no local safety net.
The brokers that fit Brazil well are a specific set: strong or mid-tier offshore regulation, Pix and boleto funding, copy trading, and Brazilian Portuguese support. Narrowing to that set is most of the work.
I tested 10 brokers that accept Brazilian residents. For each I confirmed the exact legal entity a Brazilian client onboards under, checked it on the home regulator’s register, and looked at funding rails, spreads, and Portuguese support.
One thing to be upfront about: this is a ranking of the best forex brokers in Brazil by fit, not purely by raw score. Licence quality that a Brazilian client can actually rely on, real funding in reais, and vetting come first, and our vetted commercial partners lead the order.
Scores stay real and unchanged. That is why a partner can sit above a higher-scoring name here, and I explain the basis in every section so nothing reads as rigged.
Here is the honest disclosure up front: 5 of these 10 are brokers we have a commercial relationship with, and we may earn a commission if you open an account through a link. It never changes the scores or the order.
The five editorial names carry no affiliate link at all. The full arrangement is on the how we make money page, and the scoring is on the methodology page.
One caveat no broker can fix: across these firms, between 74% and 89% of retail accounts lose money, per their own regulatory filings. A licence keeps your cash segregated in the account.
It does not keep it safe from your trades. For the safety-first cut, see best regulated forex brokers, and for the global parent list this page filters down, see best forex brokers.
I did not take any broker’s word for its licences. For each of the 10 firms I located the registered legal entity that serves Brazilian clients, then searched the relevant register: ASIC Connect and the FCA register for the tier-one books, the CySEC register for Cypriot entities, the Central Bank of Ireland register for AvaTrade, and the VFSC list for Vanuatu international entities.
A licence number with no matching active entry is the single clearest sign of a problem, and it is the check most traders skip.
Licence quality carried the most weight, but the calculation is different from a European page. In Brazil there is no compensation scheme to lean on, so the question is how good the foreign licence behind your account really is, and whether the broker has a long, clean operating history to stand behind it.
We feature vetted partners first, but every score, spread, and licence on this page stays real and tested. Scores are out of 10, and the licence-quality weight is deliberately heaviest, because in a market with no compensation scheme the regulator behind your account is your main protection.
I also applied one hard filter unique to a country page: I verified each broker accepts Brazilian clients, funds by Pix or boleto in reais, and offers Portuguese support. A broker that failed any of those did not make the list, however cheap it ran.
| Criterion | Weight | What we measured for Brazil |
|---|---|---|
| Licence quality and safety | 30% | Strength of the foreign regulator behind the Brazilian book (ASIC, FCA, CySEC, CBI, VFSC) verified on the home register, segregation, negative balance protection, operating history |
| Trading cost | 22% | Live spread captures plus commission, all-in round-turn cost per lot in dollars |
| Brazilian funding and rails | 14% | Pix, boleto, card, USDT support, USD conversion cost on deposits, timed withdrawal cycles |
| Platforms and execution | 12% | MT4, MT5, cTrader, proprietary terminals, fill latency, EA support, rejection rate |
| Account range and minimum | 8% | Entry deposit, account tiers, swap-free options, demo access |
| Portuguese support | 7% | Brazilian Portuguese live chat, response time, escalation path |
| Research and education | 7% | Portuguese-language analysis, economic calendar depth, structured education for beginners |
A broker cannot buy back licence points with tight spreads. That is why a shell offshore entity tops out lower here no matter how cheap it runs, even when I rank it highly on cost.
Brazil protects its markets through a layered system, but the layer that covers retail forex is thinner than most beginners expect, and understanding the gap is what separates a safe account from a dangerous one.
🏛️ The CVM and the Banco Central. The CVM authorises and supervises securities and derivatives markets, and the Banco Central do Brasil oversees foreign exchange and payments. Neither issues a retail OTC forex or CFD licence, so no broker can hold a Brazilian one.
🔍 CVM alerts. The CVM has issued stop orders against offshore brokers that solicit Brazilians directly, and it publishes alerts about firms operating without authorisation. If a broker markets to you as if it were locally licensed, that is a warning sign, not a reassurance.
Here is the underlying reality a Brazilian trader has to accept:
💷 Which licence actually protects you. This is the detail that decides your safety. The protection depends entirely on the foreign entity your account sits under:
⚖️ Leverage. Because no Brazilian regulator sets a retail cap, brokers offer high leverage on their international books:
Those figures are a feature and a hazard. High leverage lets a small account trade a large position, and it is the fastest way to lose that account. Every broker here offers negative balance protection on its international book, so you cannot go below zero, but you can reach zero quickly.
The honest carve-out: a broker can hold a tier-one licence and still route Brazilian clients to a lighter offshore entity. Most of the names here do exactly that. I flag it openly in each section so you know what protection you are actually getting.
The order below leads with our vetted partners that fit Brazil well, then fills by tested score. Scores are real and unchanged, so a partner can sit above a higher-scoring editorial name. I name brokers rather than rank positions in the analysis, because the best broker for you depends on your situation, not on a number in a list.
Key facts:
I rank Vantage first for a Brazilian trader who wants copy trading paired with genuinely raw pricing. It scores 8.8 in my testing and has run since 2009. The important caveat is the entity, so I lead with it.
This is the honest trade-off: Vantage earns its place on cost and copy trading, but a Brazilian client who wants the strongest safety net should compare AvaTrade’s Central Bank of Ireland book further down. Read whether Vantage is regulated and whether Vantage is legit before funding.
Vantage runs MT4 and MT5 plus its own app-based social and copy layer. The draw is that you can mirror other traders while sitting on a Raw ECN account at 0.0 pips, so you are not paying a wide copy-trading spread just to follow someone.
It funds by Pix and card, with a Portuguese-language interface and support. Vantage suits a Brazilian trader who wants copy trading without overpaying on spread, and who accepts lighter offshore protection in exchange for raw pricing.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard STP | $50 | 0.6 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| Raw ECN | $50 | 0.0 to 0.1 pips raw | $3.00/side | 1:500 |
The Raw ECN account at roughly $6 round-turn is competitive with any raw specialist here. Swaps are standard, with a swap-free option on application, and there is no withdrawal fee on e-wallets. Full detail in my Vantage review.
Key facts:
FP Markets is my pick for a Brazilian trader who wants raw pricing with a broad platform kit behind it. It scores 8.9 and has operated since 2005, one of the longer histories here.
The long operating history and tier-one licence somewhere in the group matter when there is no local scheme. Read whether FP Markets is safe and whether FP Markets is legit for the entity detail.
FP Markets is one of the few brokers here that pairs raw ECN pricing with a truly wide platform range: MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView, and the IRESS terminal for share CFDs. Execution on the Raw account was fast in my testing with no requotes on the majors.
It funds by Pix and boleto in reais and localises support into Portuguese. FP Markets suits an active Brazilian trader who wants raw spreads and platform choice, and who does not need the beginner hand-holding XM offers.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $100 | 1.0 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| Raw | $100 | 0.0 to 0.1 pips raw | $3.00/side | 1:500 |
The Raw account at roughly $6 round-turn matches the cheapest here. Swaps are standard with a swap-free option on application, and there is no deposit fee on Pix. Full detail in my FP Markets review.
Key facts:
I point first-time Brazilian traders toward XM when both a low entry cost and a long track record matter. It scores 9.1 in my testing, the joint highest here, and has run since 2009.
The compensation cover follows the entity named on your client agreement, not the XM brand, and for a Brazilian client that entity is offshore. Read our checks on whether XM is regulated and whether XM is safe for the entity-by-entity breakdown.
XM runs MT4 and MT5 on desktop, web, and mobile, with a Brazilian Portuguese interface and an Islamic swap-free option on application. Its structured education is the real differentiator: daily live webinars, multi-level courses, and a free demo, much of it localised into Portuguese.
That $5 entry point is why it leads for beginners. Most raw-spread accounts need 100 to 200 dollars to open, which leaves a new trader with real money but few safe options. XM suits a Brazilian beginner or anyone funding under 1,000 reais who wants a low floor and real education.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Micro | $5 | 0.9 pips | $0 | 1:1000 |
| Standard | $5 | 0.6 pips | $0 | 1:1000 |
| XM Ultra Low | $50 | 0.6 pips | $0 | 1:1000 |
| Zero | $100 | 0.0 pips raw | $3.50/side | 1:1000 |
The Zero account at 0.0 pips raw plus roughly $7 round-turn sits close to the raw brokers above, so you do not need to switch brokers as your volume grows. Treat the 1:1000 leverage as a ceiling, not a target. Full detail in my XM review.
Key facts:
CMC Markets is included here on merit, with no affiliate link. It scores 9.1 and has operated since 1989, the longest history in this group.
CMC is one of the most heavily regulated names in the industry, which is why it earns its place even without a commercial link. Read whether CMC Markets is safe for detail.
The Next Generation platform is CMC’s signature, with advanced charting, pattern recognition, and more than 12,000 instruments spanning FX, indices, commodities, and share CFDs. It also supports MT4 for traders who prefer it.
CMC suits a Brazilian trader who values platform depth and instrument breadth over the last fraction of a pip, and who wants one of the most heavily regulated names available.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CFD account | $0 | 0.7 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| FX Active | $0 | 0.0 pips raw | $2.50/side | 1:500 |
The FX Active account narrows the spread for higher-volume traders. There is no deposit fee, and inactivity fees apply after a dormant period. Full detail in my CMC Markets review.
Key facts:
Fusion Markets is the pick for a Brazilian trader who wants the lowest running cost, full stop. It scores 9.0 and has built its whole proposition around cost since 2017.
Fusion is transparent about its structure, and the ASIC book anchors the brand even though it is not the one that serves Brazil. Read whether Fusion Markets is safe and whether Fusion Markets is legit for the entity detail.
Fusion runs MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView, a strong platform set for a cost-focused broker. Execution on the Zero account was clean in my testing, and the all-in cost of roughly $6 per round-turn lot is the cheapest I measured on this page.
It funds by Pix and USDT and localises the interface into Portuguese. Fusion suits a Brazilian scalper or high-frequency trader who counts every dollar of cost and accepts lighter offshore protection to get it.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | $0 | 0.9 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| Zero | $0 | 0.0 to 0.1 pips raw | $2.25/side | 1:500 |
The Zero account’s $4.50 round-turn commission is among the lowest in the industry, which is how the all-in cost lands near $6. No deposit fee applies. Full detail in my Fusion Markets review.
Key facts:
Pepperstone is included on merit, with no affiliate link. It scores 9.0 and has operated since 2010, with a reputation built on execution quality.
Pepperstone is one of the more heavily regulated brokers here, which is why it earns a place without a commercial link. Read whether Pepperstone is regulated and whether Pepperstone is safe for detail.
Pepperstone’s standout is native TradingView execution: you place and manage orders from inside the TradingView chart, without exporting to a separate terminal. It also runs MT4, MT5, and cTrader, and fills were consistently fast in my testing.
It funds by Pix and card in reais. Pepperstone suits a Brazilian trader who lives in TradingView and wants raw pricing behind it, and who values a strong regulatory footprint even without local cover.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $0 | 1.0 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| Razor | $0 | 0.0 to 0.1 pips raw | $3.50/side | 1:500 |
The Razor account at roughly $7 round-turn is competitive, though a touch above Fusion. No deposit fee applies, and swaps are standard with a swap-free option. Full detail in my Pepperstone review.
Key facts:
XTB is included on merit, with no affiliate link. It scores 9.0 and has operated since 2002, with a listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange behind it.
The Warsaw listing adds public-company financial disclosure on top of the licences. Read whether XTB is legit and whether XTB is safe for detail.
XTB’s xStation 5 is its signature: a fast proprietary platform with clean charting, a built-in economic calendar, and one of the smoother onboarding flows for a beginner. Its education library and daily analysis are among the strongest here.
It funds by Pix and card in reais. XTB suits a Brazilian trader who is still learning and wants a great platform, deep education, and a wide range of stock CFDs alongside forex.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $0 | 0.5 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| Stocks/ETFs | $0 | n/a | 0% up to a monthly cap | n/a |
Forex pricing is spread-only with no separate commission on the Standard account, and stock CFDs run commission-free up to a monthly turnover cap. Full detail in my XTB review.
Key facts:
IC Markets is included on merit, with no affiliate link. It scores 8.8 and has run since 2007, with a reputation built on execution for automated traders.
The tier-one licence and long history anchor the brand even though the Brazilian book is offshore. Read whether IC Markets is safe and whether IC Markets is legit for detail.
IC Markets is built for volume: deep liquidity, raw spreads near 0.0 pips, and strong EA and VPS support on MT4, MT5, and cTrader. Fills held up under fast conditions in my testing, which is exactly what a scalper or algo trader needs.
It funds by Pix and card in reais. IC Markets suits a Brazilian scalper or systematic trader running automated strategies who wants raw execution and can meet the higher entry deposit.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $200 | 0.8 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| Raw Spread | $200 | 0.0 to 0.1 pips raw | $3.50/side | 1:500 |
The Raw Spread account at roughly $7 round-turn is competitive for a high-volume trader. Swaps are standard with a swap-free option, and there is no deposit fee. Full detail in my IC Markets review.
Key facts:
AvaTrade is my pick for a Brazilian client who wants the strongest licence quality behind a familiar MetaTrader account. It scores 8.7 and has run since 2006. It is the safety-first choice on this page.
For a Brazilian client the value is simple: AvaTrade’s regulatory group is the strongest here, and a broker with a genuine Central Bank of Ireland book at its core has more to lose from misconduct. Read whether AvaTrade is legit for more.
AvaTrade runs MT4 and MT5, its own AvaTradeGO mobile app, and AvaOptions for options traders, a broader kit than most here. AvaSocial handles copy trading, and the trading academy is localised into Portuguese.
It funds by Pix and boleto in reais. AvaTrade suits a Brazilian trader who prioritises licence quality and a multi-asset platform range over squeezing the last fraction of a pip.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard (floating) | $100 | 0.9 pips | $0 | 1:400 |
| Standard (fixed) | $100 | 0.9 pips fixed | $0 | 1:400 |
There is no commission on the Standard account; the cost sits in the spread. A quarterly inactivity fee applies after three months of no activity. Full detail in my AvaTrade review.
Key facts:
FxPro is included on merit, with no affiliate link. It scores 8.7 and has operated since 2006, with one of the widest platform ranges here.
FxPro’s long history and tier-one licences anchor the brand even though the Brazilian book is offshore. Read whether FxPro is legit and whether FxPro is safe for detail.
FxPro is unusual in offering all four of the major platforms: MT4, MT5, cTrader, and its own proprietary terminal. The cTrader Raw account gives genuine ECN execution for traders who prefer that platform’s depth-of-market tools.
It funds by Pix and card in reais. FxPro suits a Brazilian trader who wants platform choice above all, especially anyone who prefers cTrader and wants raw pricing behind it.
| Account | Min deposit | EUR/USD spread | Commission | Max leverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $100 | 1.2 pips | $0 | 1:500 |
| cTrader Raw | $100 | 0.0 to 0.2 pips raw | $4.50/side | 1:500 |
The cTrader Raw account at roughly $9 round-turn is a touch pricier than the cost leaders here, so weigh it against Fusion if cost is your priority. Full detail in my FxPro review.
Here is the whole list in one view, in the same order as the sections above, partners first and then by tested score. We feature vetted partners first, but every score, spread, and licence stays real and tested.
| Broker | Min deposit | Spread from | Max leverage | Home regulator | Brazilian funding | Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vantage | $50 | 0.0 pips raw | 1:500 | ASIC / VFSC | Pix, Boleto | 8.8 |
| FP Markets | $100 | 0.0 pips raw | 1:500 | ASIC / CySEC | Pix, Boleto | 8.9 |
| XM | $5 | 0.6 pips | 1:1000 | CySEC / ASIC | Pix, Boleto | 9.1 |
| CMC Markets | $0 | 0.7 pips | 1:500 | FCA / ASIC | Card, Bank transfer | 9.1 |
| Fusion Markets | $0 | 0.0 pips raw | 1:500 | ASIC / VFSC | Pix, USDT | 9.0 |
| Pepperstone | $0 | 0.0 pips raw | 1:500 | FCA / ASIC | Pix, Skrill | 9.0 |
| XTB | $0 | 0.5 pips | 1:500 | FCA / CySEC | Pix, Card | 9.0 |
| IC Markets | $200 | 0.0 pips raw | 1:500 | ASIC / CySEC | Pix, Skrill | 8.8 |
| AvaTrade | $100 | 0.9 pips | 1:400 | CBI Ireland / ASIC | Pix, Boleto | 8.7 |
| FxPro | $100 | 0.0 pips raw | 1:500 | FCA / CySEC | Pix, Card | 8.7 |
The table tells the Brazilian story in one line: the cheapest raw pricing clusters around Fusion, Vantage, FP Markets, Pepperstone, and IC Markets, while the strongest licence sits with AvaTrade and the broadest platform range with CMC and FxPro. XM is the low-entry beginner route. None carries a Brazilian compensation scheme, so the licence column is your safety guide.
Every broker here runs at least one MetaTrader build, and the platform you prefer can decide the choice as much as cost does. This is the platform mix across the group.
| Broker | Trading platforms | Own app/DOM |
|---|---|---|
| Vantage | MT4, MT5, TradingView | Vantage app |
| FP Markets | MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView | IRESS |
| XM | MT4, MT5 | XM app |
| CMC Markets | MT4, Next Generation | Next Generation |

Brazil has some of the fastest payment rails in the world, and the good news is that every broker here supports the ones that matter. The catch is the account currency, which I come back to below.
💳 The rails that clear in Brazil:
⚠️ The BRL account question, the detail most guides skip. Almost every offshore broker serving Brazil runs a dollar-denominated account, not a true BRL base. So a Pix deposit in reais is converted to USD on the way in, and back to reais on withdrawal. That conversion carries a spread, and it is a real, recurring cost.
Before you fund heavily, ask each broker’s support two questions: what is the currency-conversion spread on a Pix deposit, and is a BRL or USD base the better fit for how you trade. A trader funding and withdrawing frequently pays that spread more often, so it matters more than it looks.
⏱️ Withdrawal timing from a Brazilian account:
Run a small test withdrawal in your first week, around 100 reais, to confirm the rail works and no verification step is pending before you rely on it for real capital.
The best broker for a Brazilian trader is not a single answer. It depends on your capital, your experience, and what you weigh most. Here is how I would decide.
🔰 If you are a beginner with under 1,000 reais: start with XM. The 5 dollar minimum, commission-free Standard account, and Portuguese education let you learn with real money at small size. Fusion Markets is the alternative if you want raw pricing from day one on a no-minimum account.
💸 If you want the lowest possible running cost: go with Fusion Markets at roughly 6 dollars per round-turn lot, with Vantage and FP Markets close behind. A commission-free Standard account looks cheaper but bundles the cost into a wider spread, which usually works out more expensive for active traders.
📈 If you are an active scalper or algo trader: IC Markets, Fusion, or Vantage give the deep liquidity and raw execution that high-frequency strategies need, with strong EA and cTrader support.
🧑🤝🧑 If copy trading is your reason for joining: Vantage pairs copy trading with a raw account so you are not overpaying on spread to follow others, and AvaTrade’s AvaSocial is the alternative on a stronger licence.
🛡️ If licence quality matters most to you: choose AvaTrade. It carries the strongest regulatory group here, a genuine Central Bank of Ireland book, which counts for a lot when there is no Brazilian compensation scheme behind any account.
🖥️ If the platform is your priority: XTB and CMC Markets lead on proprietary platforms, Pepperstone leads on native TradingView, and FxPro is the pick if you want cTrader with everything else alongside it.
The honest summary: in Brazil the cheapest option and the best-protected option are rarely the same broker, so decide which one you are optimising for before you fund.
The Brazilian market has a few traps that catch new traders more than most. Watch for these.

Brazil taxes trading gains through the Receita Federal, and because your broker is offshore, the entire reporting duty falls on you. Here is the shape of it, though none of this is tax advice.
💰 The rate. Gains on foreign-market and offshore-broker positions are generally taxed at 15%, with higher bands up to 22.5% on very large gains. That applies to realised profit, not to your account balance.
📋 The rule change now in force. The Lei 14.754/2023 rules, now in force, tightened the taxation of offshore financial investments held by Brazilian residents. How your account is classified now matters more than it used to, so this is exactly the point to get professional advice on.
🗓️ Monthly and annual duties. Monthly self-assessment through the carne-leao, with a DARF payment, can apply depending on your situation and gains. You also declare annually on your imposto de renda return.
📁 Keep records from day one. An offshore broker does not withhold Brazilian tax or file for you. Download and keep every monthly statement so your annual declaration is straightforward.
⚠️ Foreign-account reporting. Brazilian residents holding assets abroad above certain thresholds have separate reporting obligations. An offshore trading account can fall under these, so confirm your position.
These figures are current for 2026. Tax situations differ by individual, so confirm your own position with a Brazilian contador before you file. Nothing here is tax advice.
Once you have picked a broker, a few minutes of checks stand between you and a costly mistake. Here is the routine I would run on any Brazilian account before depositing.
🔍 Confirm the entity, not the brand. Open the client agreement during signup and find the registered company name and licence number. Check it on the home regulator: ASIC Connect, the FCA register, CySEC, the Central Bank of Ireland, or the VFSC list. Confirm the name matches and the status reads active.
💳 Line up Pix first. Add Pix as your funding method and verify it before you need it. Most brokers require identity verification before enabling a new withdrawal destination, so doing it early removes the delay when you actually want your money.
💱 Ask about the conversion spread. Because the account is dollar-denominated, ask support what the currency-conversion cost is on a Pix deposit in reais. This single number affects your real cost more than a fraction of a pip on the spread.
⚡ Run a small test withdrawal. In your first week, deposit a modest sum and withdraw around 100 reais back out. It confirms the rail works and no verification step is pending before you rely on it for real capital. This test has saved more traders from a withdrawal problem than any review.
📋 Note your tax obligation now. Keep your statements from day one. Offshore trading gains fall under Receita Federal rules and must be declared, and your broker will not do it for you.
⚖️ Size below the leverage on offer. The high leverage is a hazard, not a perk. Plan your position sizing around a fraction of your balance per trade, well below the 1:500 ceiling. A small account survives longer that way.
Do these six things and you have removed almost every avoidable risk inside your control. What remains is the trading itself, which no broker choice can make safe for you.
For a Brazilian trader, the honest starting point is that every broker you can use is offshore, so licence quality is your real safety test. Vantage is my overall pick on the combination of raw ECN pricing near 6 dollars per lot, built-in copy trading, and Pix funding, and it leads our vetted partners.
If you are a beginner, XM is the softer landing at a $5 minimum with Portuguese education. For the lowest running cost, Fusion Markets sits near 6 dollars round-turn, with FP Markets and Pepperstone close behind.
For the strongest licence, AvaTrade carries a genuine Central Bank of Ireland book, the safety-first choice here. And the editorial names round it out on merit: CMC Markets and XTB for platform depth, Pepperstone for TradingView, IC Markets for scalping, and FxPro for cTrader.
Whichever you choose, do the one thing that matters more than any ranking: open the client agreement, read the registered entity, and verify it on the home regulator’s register before you deposit. In Brazil there is no local compensation scheme, so that single line decides how much protection you actually have.
The full scoring is on the methodology page, and our disclosures are on the how we make money page. For the parent ranking, see best forex brokers.
Our pick: Vantage for a Brazilian account, raw ECN pricing near 6 dollars per lot with built-in copy trading and Pix funding, and our top-priority vetted partner here. XM is the beginner route at a 5 dollar minimum with Portuguese education, Fusion Markets and FP Markets for the lowest raw cost, and AvaTrade for the strongest licence, a genuine Central Bank of Ireland book. CMC Markets, Pepperstone, XTB, IC Markets, and FxPro round out the list on merit with no affiliate link. Tax and regulation figures are current as of 2026, confirm with a local contador. Verify every broker on its home regulator’s register before you fund.
Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments. Between 74% and 89% of retail accounts lose money. Affiliate disclosure: how we earn. Reviewed by Laura West, last updated August 2026.
Yes, trading forex is legal in Brazil, but the CVM licenses no retail OTC forex broker. Brazilian residents open accounts with offshore-regulated brokers. There is no local compensation scheme, so your recourse if a firm fails runs through its foreign regulator. Every broker here holds an offshore licence I verified on its home register in 2026, and I note the exact entity a Brazilian client onboards under.
Vantage has operated since 2009. Brazilian clients onboard under a VFSC international entity, not the ASIC or FCA books. Segregated client money and negative balance protection apply, but there is no statutory compensation scheme on the account. I confirmed same-business-day e-wallet withdrawals in 2026 testing, and the Raw ECN account runs near 6 dollars per round-turn lot. For a stronger compensation safety net, compare AvaTrade's Central Bank of Ireland book. Full entity detail is in our Vantage review.
XM, on the combination of a 5 dollar minimum deposit, a commission-free Standard account, and Portuguese-language education. Most raw-spread accounts need 100 to 200 dollars to open. XM funds by Pix in reais and includes a free demo. Fusion Markets is the alternative for raw pricing on a no-minimum account.
Brazil taxes trading gains through the Receita Federal, and an offshore broker does not withhold for you. Gains on foreign-market positions are generally taxed at 15%. Higher gains can reach 22.5%. The Lei 14.754/2023 rules, now in force, tightened the taxation of offshore financial investments for Brazilian residents, so how your account is classified matters more than it used to. Monthly self-assessment through the carne-leao and a DARF payment can apply. You declare annually on your imposto de renda return. Keep every broker statement from day one. These figures are current for 2026, but tax situations differ. Confirm your own position with a Brazilian contador.
Pix is the default. It clears in seconds at little or no cost and works for both deposits and withdrawals. Boleto bancario settles in one to two business days. Visa and Mastercard fund instantly. A few brokers also accept USDT. All offshore accounts here are dollar-denominated, so a Pix deposit in reais converts to USD on entry. Ask about the conversion spread before funding heavily.
Offshore is the only option in Brazil, so the real question is which offshore licence. A broker with strong foreign regulation, genuine client-money segregation, and negative balance protection is far safer than a shell entity. No offshore book carries a Brazilian compensation scheme. If the firm fails, recourse runs through its foreign regulator. AvaTrade's Central Bank of Ireland book is the strongest licence on this page. Every other broker routes you to a lighter offshore entity I flag openly.
Brazil has no retail-forex regulator setting a cap, so offshore brokers offer high limits: commonly 1:500, and up to 1:1000 at XM. Those figures sit far above the 1:30 cap European retail clients face. Higher leverage magnifies losses as fast as gains. I would treat 1:500 as a ceiling you rarely approach, not a target. Negative balance protection applies on all international books here, so you cannot lose more than your deposit.
No. Brazil has no statutory compensation scheme for retail forex or CFD accounts. The offshore entities serving Brazil fall outside their home schemes for non-resident clients. Your protection is the broker's foreign licence quality, mandatory client-money segregation, and its operating history. That is why licence quality carries the most weight in this ranking.
It varies. XM opens a Standard account at 5 dollars. That is the lowest in this group. Fusion Markets, CMC Markets, and XTB advertise no set minimum. Vantage and FP Markets sit at 50 and 100 dollars respectively. IC Markets is the highest at 200 dollars. A higher minimum does not mean a safer broker.
Find the broker's registered legal entity name and licence number. Both appear on the legal or about page. Search that number on the home regulator: ASIC Connect for Australian entities, the FCA register for UK ones, CySEC for Cypriot ones, or the VFSC list for Vanuatu books. Confirm the company name matches, the status reads active, and the number is real. Also check the CVM website. It publishes alerts about firms operating without authorisation in Brazil. A licence number with no matching entry is a hard stop.
Every broker here offers Portuguese-language platforms and support, though depth varies. XM, Vantage, FP Markets, and AvaTrade run the fullest Brazilian Portuguese desks. The important nuance is account currency: almost none offer a true BRL base account. Your account is dollar-denominated, and Pix deposits in reais convert to USD on the way in. That conversion is a real, recurring cost. For a Brazilian client the practical choice is a USD account funded by Pix.
This list ranks best fit for a Brazilian trader, not raw global score. Every broker here is offshore for a Brazilian client, so the tie-breakers are the ones that actually matter in Brazil: raw pricing, Pix and boleto funding, copy trading, Portuguese support, and a long operating history. Vantage leads on that combination and is a vetted commercial partner. I disclose that openly. XM scores 9.1 against Vantage's 8.8, and both scores appear unchanged on this page. A partner leading the order while showing a slightly lower score is the honest result of ranking by Brazilian fit. Every spread, score, and licence stays real and tested.
